Service Architect

ESN Service Architect

Location: Basingstoke/London - Ocassional Travel

Start Date: As soon as possible

Role Insights:

Reporting directly to the Head of Service Design, this is a strategic role that will directly impact decision making and service management development. With a number of global acquisitions providing new technology and capability, there is a need to leverage the experience and knowledge of the business to deliver an integrated service and support model for the UK. The role is responsible for delivery of key aspects of service design and acting as a subject matter on service management throughout the project lifecycle:

  • Interface with technical solutions architects to ensure integrated service and technical designs that deliver outstanding solutions, capabilities and service experience to customers
  • Development and ongoing accountability for service design artefacts such as policy, product descriptions and processes
  • Supporting the development of Service propositions and Service management definitions for key emergency services products and services

Key Responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Support development of service and operating models and support organization structures through customer to other ESN suppliers
  • Manage operational stakeholders input to service design as appropriate ensuring deliverable and high quality services can be provided and supported
  • Provide regular expert guidance and support to Business Analysts on working level procedures, as well as collaboration and support with other areas of the programme and work streams to ensure solutions and services are delivered.

Experience - Knowlegde and Skills:

  • At least 7 years previous experience in a products/solutions/service design role
  • Background and experience in Telecoms/IT technology field/projects essential
  • Ability to deliver and work well with others under pressure and to timelines

This role undertakes work that requires the application of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of multi-faceted contexts problems.

Successful candidate will be based in Basingstoke with occasional travel to London (business HQ and customer premises) as well as Rugby and other business locations (stakeholder engagement)
